SUMMER ESSENTIALS

It definitely feels like summer now that it is actually hot and sunny instead of being cloudy all the time. For this post I decided to put together some of my favourite things which I think are essentials for summer. Also I am very sorry for the lack of posts recently, but I have been having a break from blogging and just haven't been feeling it recently, but I am back now!

First thing of course are some sunglasses! Sunglasses are a definite must-have in summer, not only do they protect your eyes but they also just add to an outfit! Mine are from Topshop and I love the style and shape of them. Next is a nail polish and I decided to include Essie's "Tart Deco." The bright orange will look so lovely on nails in summer, especially with a tan and I am definitely going to be wearing this on my nails this year!

On to all the makeup essentials now. Firstly I have obviously included a highlighter as isn't glowy skin always a summer trend? I'm pretty sure every year glowing skin is a must have for summer! So I have chosen the "Soft and Gentle" Mac mineralize skin finish highlighter, as this has more of a golden shimmer  than any other ones I've got. I also have included two Nars products - a Multiple Stick Blush (in the shade "Maui") and their "Creamy Concealer." These are both gorgeous products for the summer as they are both very hydrating and creamy, but also gives off a dewy look to make your skin look super healthy! Finally I have chosen a lipgloss as I find these look stunning in the summer. I thought I should choose a coral gloss, as I really like wearing bright colours on my lips at this time in the year. So the one I picked is from benefit, in "Dandelion."

So those are all my summer essentials for this year. I hope you enjoyed this post and sorry for not posting much recently. Thanks for reading!

♡Beauty Haul | Luella♡

I rarely do hauls on my blog, I can't remember the last time I did one! I suppose I could call this a Collective Haul as I didn't buy it all in one go. Anyway on with the things I bought.

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick // £26
popped into Debenhams to get my first ever lipstick from YSL. I think it is quite pricy for a lipstick, but it's worth it for the gorgeous shade and consistency. I can't wait to wear it for the summer time!

Maybelline Baby Skin Primer // £7.99
Although I have read many mixed reviews on the this primer, I think it is a really good product. I can feel that my makeup lasts a lot longer when I use this and it smoothens out my skin and leaves it feeling very soft! However it doesn't have any coverage or change the appearance of my skin, which is what I thought it was going to do. But apart from that I think its a very good product!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum // £10.99
This has been on my wishlist for quite a while. I have been looking for something light weight for spring everytime I went into Boots I have always been debating whether to buy it or not. But I am so glad I bought it as, from what I have tried so far, it feels really nice on my skin and nothing too heavy. I will be doing a full review soon so keep your eye out for that!!

Rimmel Apocalips 101 Celestial // £6.49
I picked this up, finally, as I have been debating if I should get it or not. This is gorgeous for the summer time! I am glad I bought this as it's an everyday easy colour to wear, nothing to loud on the lips.

I will definitely be writing some more in-depth reviews of some of my new purchases and I'm sure they will soon become my top favourites. Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed!

♡ April Q&A | Luella ♡

So I asked on Instagram and Twitter for people to give me some questions that I could answer in this q&a!

How long have I been watching YouTube?
I think I started watching YouTube in February 2011, so 4 years... woah that's a long time!!

What's my favourite subject?
It would have to be photography, I love it so much and find it really interesting.

3 biggest fears?
Umm... I think my 3 biggest fears would be death, heights, and the future, the future because I don't know what's going to happen, and where I will be in 10 years time, I find it really scary!!

When's your birthday?
My birthday is 30th of October, and I was born in 2000 which makes me 14 :)

What book are you reading right now? Would you recommend it?
I'm reading Allegiant which is part of the series Divergent. I love it so much, it's an action packed book which is very gripping. I would recommend it, but only if you had read the previous books in the series otherwise it wouldn't make sense.

What's your favourite song?
I don't have an all time favourite song, but the song I'm loving at the moment is 'Lay Me Down' by Sam Smith :)

Sweets or chocolate?
That's such a hard question!! I can't choose aha.

Who's your favourite youtuber?
I love love love Tanya Burr's videos as she's so sweet and bubbly!!

How tall are you?
I am 5'3".. I think I'm quite small for my age!! (I'm 14)

What makes you happy?
My friends and family make me extremely happy. :)

Those are all of the questions I'm going to be answering today! I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments.

♡What's in my travel makeup bag? | Luella♡

In my makeup bag I don't carry foundation, as it takes up space, so I carry a heavy coverage concelear. I chose to use the Mac Prolongwear concelear as it very small to carry, which is good to fit into my makeup bag.

Then I choose my Stay Matte Powder because it's very light weight in my makeup bag, and I love it.

Next, I chose the S&G bronzer as it has a mirror, which is useful for travelling in. Also, it has a higherlighter, so it's a 2 in 1 which saves space.

For my mascara I went for a mini sample, again to save space. I love this mascara as it curles your eyelashes amazingly. I also went for a colour Tatto, as these are very easy to apply to the lid of your eyes.

For my lips, I choose 3 mostirsing products, Revlon lip butter, Nivea lip butter, and Benefit Dandilion. These are all pinks which would go with any spring look.

Finally for brushes I choose my Blush Brush for powder (sorry my brushes are so dirty!) my buffing brush for my concelear to be buffed into my skin, and two eye brushes just incase I needed them.

I hope this post helped you to decide what you want to put in your makeup bag!  Currently I am off for Easter, so hopefully I will be more active for more posts.

♡Perfume of the month | Luella♡

This past month (February) have been loving the One Direction 'Our moment' perfume. This is a fruity and floral scent, which I love. I use this for school as it is quite suttle, which is a bonus. I have worn this everyday in February and I will be purchasing it again once I have ran out! Overall this is a good cheap girly perfume, which I would recommend.

Face, cheeks & lips.

These picks are my favourite face, cheek, and lip products.

Face
For my face I have recently been loving the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation. The shade I use is '100 ivory' and I love it. On the skin it's very light, but good coverage. I only use 1 pump and it does the job! It's a great if you want to buy your foundation, as it is very easy to blend.

Cheeks
I looooove the Sleek blush in 'Rose gold' as it gives a lovely glow to your face. It is a similar colour to the Nars Orgasim blush, with gold undertones in it. If you want to read more on the Sleek blush, I did a review earlier on my blog.

Lips
Benefit's beneblams are a must for me. These are so creamy, and like a blam, but just a bit more tinited. I have found myself wearing these a lot instead of a mirror, as its easier to apply, as you don't need a mirror. Although these are expensive lip tinits, I think they are definitely worth the money at £15.
